Building The Perfect Reading Space!

Hey, guys! My name is Ally and today I’m on a mission to make the perfect reading nook! As most of you guys would know, I love reading- It’s an actual addiction, and I’m sure the same goes for most of you as well! We readers are often up late, in awkward, uncomfortable positions in the attempt to finish that one amazing book.

So, after going through this every night, it’s very often that I find myself wondering if there is a way out of the neck cricks and back problems that won’t leave me looking like this guy:

‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’

So, challenge accepted! Make sure to share your own ideas for the perfect reading nook below! I’d love to hear what you guys think!

Maybe this way we’ll all still be walking upright by the time we are fifty! (It’s unlikely…)

Let’s begin!

First, in order to have a reading nook, the key is to actually own books. I know that this may be a foreign concept to many of you readers on a book blog (The sarcasm is strong in this one), but I’m sure we can find something similar! These are some of the bookshelves that honestly give me shelf envy! Adding a string of  Christmas lights help warm the space and make you feel festive all year round!

Then, of course, you need a comfy chair to sit in! Personally, I think furniture stores like Arhaus, Freedom and IKEA do the job nicely! Featured below is one of my favourite chairs from Arhaus- make sure to check out their site for a few ideas!

Now, we can add a couple of pillows, beanbags, fluffy blankets-

-and you have my idea of the perfect reading nook! And, you can improve a reading nook by adding a window! As a vampire myself, I know the Sun can be scary and it burns, but the Sun is also your friend!

Here a few of my favourite reading nook images from Pinterest:

So that about wraps this post up! Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you next time for another post! Don’t forget to share your dream vision for a reading nook below!
