Great list! I am a Sarah J Maas nut! I also love Maria V Snyder’s Poison Study. I feel like the series has lost a bit of the awesome factor as it has progressed, though.

I agree with you about the Poison Study progression. The series is still awesome and I want Dawn Study, but the first three were the best! Have you read Inside Out and Outside In? They are the best!

I have not read either of those. I also haven’t finished Night Study yet. It’s been hard since I really hated the Glass trilogy and those characters are now in the Study universe permanently. *Sigh*

That would be very hard! I hated Opal. She was pretentious! I struggled to finish Night Study as well so I ended up skimming most of it after I read the ending and was intrigued. But it is really only skim-worthy… If you really don’t want to continue reading, don’t read the ending, it is an annoyingly good cliff-hanger. Thank and I like Ari and Janco… I need to see what happens… Damn Maria V. Snyder’s cliff-hangers and my curiosity!

I do love Ari and Janco. They are the best. Opal was fine, but I can’t get behind her marrying Devlen. He abused her, but that’s ok, he was high on blood magic. No harm, no foul. Wait…Huh?

Devlen and Opal simply killed me. I will never get over it! But… Even with the blood magic, it caused harm. A lot of harm. And then the marriage. No. Please.

Exactly. Like I understand that she wanted to redeem is character. I think she could have done that without having Opal marry her abuser. It was just bad.

Exactly. It was just made me uncomfortable. I was reading it really hoping that young girls didn’t take the wrong thing away from reading it.

Yeah Ally, you ended up with Percy holding a sword to Annabeth’s throat… My dad read that! He still wonders what I am doing with friends who enjoy killing off characters… Only I do that too…
